Between You, Me and the Wall (2012) 4,000 hand made salt dough bread bricks, 150 lbs of screws, florescent lights, steel door, built at the former Nabisco Factory (Bakery Square) in Pittsburgh, PA. 9 ft diameter circle x 12 ft tall
The silo was built on site at Bakery Square (Former Nabisco Factory, Pittsburgh, PA). The prevalent physicality and materiality in the construction of the silo refers to and honors industrial laborers that shaped the rust belt region. As a guerrilla intervention project, I traveled throughout the rust belt re-building derelict buildings with the bread bricks. Once the exhibition was over, I re-built derelict buildings with the bread throughout Pittsburgh, Buffalo and Rochester, NY.
